Summary Of The Book

The adolescent years are a transitional period. No longer just children, teenagers are not yet adults either. It is a period of self-discovery and exploration, a period when youngsters are slowly maturing into adults, gaining a better understanding of life.

It is a period of many changes, so it is also a difficult period in a person’s life, a complex phase. New emotions and feelings that are exciting yet difficult to handle and control make this phase of growth a bit confusing for the teenagers.

This is the stage of life in which the two protagonists, Ritesh Garg and Aarushi, come together.

Ritesh is a boy who enjoys every moment of his life. He is light-hearted and wants to enjoy every experience life has to offer. Aarushi, on the other hand, is a very serious-minded girl brought up in a very traditional household.

These two are opposites in character and their approach to life. Yet they are drawn to each other, especially Ritesh. Their romance is aided by their friends, but they are too young to handle these complex emotions, and it begins to reflect in their school work.

All this leads to repercussions in their families and their grades. However, both progress successfully towards higher studies. Yet the path of romance is not smooth. Will the attraction they felt in their dawning adolescence mature into true love, and will they ever come together?
