Every individual has a mentor - someone they look up to, someone whose reflections stick with them as they move on with their lives. Morrie Schwartz was Mitch Albom’s mentor, as Mitch spent a significant amount of time with Morrie every Tuesday, a routine that brought about an unconscious difference in Mitch’s life.
After 16 years, Mitch moves ahead with his life and Morrie’s insights slowly fade away over time. With a scheme to find answers to questions that have been haunting him for a very long time, Mitch Albom sets off in search of Morrie Schwartz, his long lost alliance.
Albom finally succeeds in finding his mentor, but to his dismay, finds out that Morrie is living through the last days of his life. Morrie is critically ill and afflicted with ALS, a motor neuron disease. Mitch decides to make the most of his rendezvous and recreates the past by meeting him every Tuesday evening. In Tuesdays With Morrie: An Old Man, A Young Man And The World’s Greatest Lesson, Mitch shares the wise words that Morrie had for him during his last days.
