Shanbhag has taught for over 20 years and has written for journals like Indian Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology and Indian Drugs. She currently works as an Additional Professor at Kasturba Medical College.

Smita Shenoy is a faculty member of the Department of Pharmacology, KMC, Manipal, and an author.

Shenoy has specialized in Pharmacology and her interests in teaching are Chemotherapy and Endocrinology. She has also been actively involved in researching Diabetes, Toxicology, Wound Healing, and Psychopharmacology.
