Instructions, prayers and practical guidance by prophets, philosophers and poets have been brought together in this eclectic and intensely personal collection by India’s grand old man of letters, Khushwant Singh. It also comprises of his much-loved messages and excerpts from the the influential texts of some of the world’s major faiths. The Bible, the Guru Granth Sahib, the Quran and the Vedas come together to spread the same messages, only in different ways. The songs and poems of spiritualists and saints like Kabir and Rumi and verses of poets like Ghalib, Tagore and Keats are also included in this book. Towards the end of the book, Khushwant Singh has shared some of his own life experiences and those of the rebels and eccentrics that he greatly respected.
