Summary of the Book
When Clarice Starling, a young FBI Trainee, is dispatched to meet with the world-famous Dr. Hannibal Lecter as part of an on-going investigation, she is warned that the Doctor is anything but ordinary. Possessing genius-level intellect, Hannibal Lecter is able to get into anyone’s skin, despite being imprisoned under high security. Jailed for his blasphemous crimes of serial murders and cannibalism, Dr. Lecter begins to delve into Clarice’s mind even as he speaks to her about the case. He plays an enigmatic game he calls “clue”, providing Clarice with just enough information to find the new serial killer she is investigating. However, in trying to negotiate with Dr. Lecter, is Clarice making a deal with the devil himself?
