Twelve Years A Slave is the autobiography of Solomon Northup, a man who was kidnapped and sold into slavery before the Civil War.
Summary of the Book
When Solomon Northrup embarked on a business trip, he had no idea what kind of nightmare it was going to become. He was kidnapped and sold into slavery, becoming a dark example of America’s bleakest hour. He is ripped mind from body, abused and hurt over the years as he shuffles from master to master. In twelve years, he passes through hell and emerges to tell his story, the story of a slave in a land which promised freedom to all men.
