Tucked away in a small little world they built for themselves in south India, the couple have the most bizarre and entertaining encounters. From tree frogs that were determined to colonize their house to creepy crawlies, Lenin braves it all. It is interesting to read about situations that we normally do not find in everyday life. For instance, snakes that coil up in her shoes and the frogs that love her toilet tank.

Janaki Lenin’s passion and interest in animals took an exponential rise when she met Romulus Whitaker. Together, they made several documentaries about wildlife for their living.
She is also the author of Snakes of India and A King Cobra's Summer.
Several national newspapers, travel magazines and wildlife magazines feature her work. Together with her husband, she also is involved in wildlife filmmaking. Several of their works have been featured on the National Geographic channel. A King Cobra's Summer was Lenin’s first book, and the book ranked among the top 12 children’s publications for that year.
