Summary of the Book
When Sampat Pal, commander of the Pink Gang heard that Sheelu might face imprisonment for stealing from a local politician, she and the Pink Gang decided to fight for justice. Things were bad for Sheelu as she had recently complained about being assaulted by a person in the politician’s household. The ladies in their pink saris fought till justice was provided to Sheelu, and author, Amana Fontanella-Khan, tells us their story. This is the story of strong women who are not afraid to win their battle against oppression and injustice.
