R is a zombie who is slightly different from most zombies. When he meets Julie, a girl who is the complete opposite of him, he feels something very different from what zombie should feel.
Summary of the Book
Life for a zombie is very dull. It’s all about staying in the coffin and walking around aimlessly in search of humans to feed on. R is a little different from the rest of the zombies. He does the same things as they do, but he has dreams of his own. This is quite strange for someone who does not have a name, memories or a pulse. One day, R meets a girl named Julie. She isn’t anything like him and R decides that he will not eat this human. Julie makes R’s life bright and brings him warmth. The two begin a very unusual friendship that grows as times goes by. R realizes that he cannot go on like this and wants to get out of his zombie state. What he and Julie have is something that goes against everything that is considered normal, but R refuses to live in a grave anymore. Will he be able to get what he wants with Julie’s help?
