Summary of the Play
An exotic Moor, Othello, begins a marriage with the Venetian beauty, Desdemona, in an episode of chaos. However, this relationship is doomed to begin with, as Othello’s standard-bearer, Iago, hates Othello and is ready to do anything to sabotage his relationship with Desdemona. The innocent Desdemona and her anguish at the hands of Othello as he believes Iago’s schemes, transform this into a dark tragedy and a timeless masterpiece from the Bard of Avon.
