Aptly compared to the Gone Girl novel, this book has its mysterious plot very artfully narrated to keep the reader constantly curious throughout the story. The book takes readers on a commuter train that Rachel takes every day to commute through the suburbs of London. She has seen her own world of stories and characters living outside the moving train's window. In one of the shocking incidents of her life, she sees a terrible thing on her journey one fateful day, and before she even realises, it was already on its way to change the course of her life. Once she is compelled to interacting with the police and other people regarding the terrible incident, her life never remains the same.
