It isn’t easy to write about your life, even if it is in a fictionalized format. Maybe there are some things that you do not want people to know and yet one cannot help but talk about those. “Wise enough to be Foolish” by Gauri Jayaram is one such book that chronicles her life (fictionally though and sometimes surely not very obviously) – the transformation of a girl to a woman.
The book’s biggest advantage is the honesty with which Gauri writes. There is no pretension or any amount of confusion. The story is as clear and written with ease and simplicity. Gauri knows her audience and almost writes to charm them – which she does to a very large extent. “Wise enough to be Foolish” takes stock of life – its ups and downs and the journeys we undertake to becoming the person that we are and want to be.
Wise Enough to Be Foolish is a book which traces the journey of an Indian girl’s life. Despite all the challenges and hurdles that come her way, she eventually blossoms into a confident young woman.
