The Horse and His Boy is a fantasy novel and the third novel in The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis.
Summary of the Book
When Shasta, a young boy, meets a talking horse named Bree, he has no idea how his life will be influenced by this creature from Narnia. They escape together from the boy’s foster father and join up with other escapees to journey to Bree’s home: the wonderful land of Narnia. However, their path is full of peril, and they will have to face the diabolical Calormen, a tribe settled in Tasbaan. The Calormen hate nothing more than Narnians and they will do anything to stop this motley crew from reaching their destination.

Lewis was a close and personal friend of fellow writer J. R. R. Tolkien.
