Summary of the Book
The Famous Five – Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy the dog, are off to stay at Kirrin Cottage with George’s parents. Berta is the daughter of one of the American scientists working on a secret project with Uncle Quentin. She turns up at the cottage in the middle of the night dressed up like a boy. George is completely ticked off about this, as she likes to be the one mistaken for a boy. But there is no time to be jealous! Berta is hiding from sinister kidnappers and she is in desperate need of help. Will The Famous Five be able to protect Berta from the kidnappers?
